Freiburg im Breisgau, 05.05.2025 – The Dermagnostix GmbH from Freiburg, specialized on the development of molecular diagnostic tests for dermatology, expands its portfolio by the acquisition and continuation of the fluorescence detector technology of Dialunox GmbH i.L. (Stockach) as of July 1st 2025. Following the acquisition of facilities, expertise and IP rights from (former) Spindiag GmbH, Dermagnostix is now taking another important strategic step to secure its growth.
The fluorescence detectors offer a compact, flexible and highly sensitive solution for all types of fluorescence measurements in a wide range of applications, from research facilities to industrial environments. The high flexibility of the fluorescence detector is particularly evident in its individual customization: in addition to the standard versions, the components can be specifically adapted to different wavelengths, dyes and concentrations on request. Thanks to its flexibility, compact design and high dynamic range, the fluorescence detector can be used in a wide range of applications, such as point-of-care testing devices (PCR-based rapid test systems for diagnostics), analytical devices (flow cytometry, capillary electrophoresis, liquid chromatography), in-line process control during production or for measuring contamination during production and subsequent quality control. At Dermagnostix, the fluorescence detector is a component of the LabDisk-Analyzer, which is used to read the fluorescence signal at the end of a PCR run, underlining the high relevance of the device for use in medical diagnostics.
"Through the acquisition and continuation of the detector technology we not only secure important know-how for our company, but we also want to provide other companies and researchers with an accurate, application-oriented and affordable solution. We will also continue to supply existing customers reliably to ensure their delivery capability and to market their products as usual", explains Dermagnostix CTO and Managing Director Ludwig Gutzweiler.
Existing and new customers can now send their enquiries directly to Dermagnostix via customer@dermagnostix.com.
