The President of the Baden-Württemberg Parliament, Muhterem Aras, and Nadyne Saint-Cast, Member of Parliament, recently visited Dermagnostix at its offices in the Biotech-Park Freiburg. They were welcomed by CEO Prof. Dr. Natalie Garzorz-Stark and CTO Ludwig Gutzweiler, who provided insights into the company's history and development.
Discussions focused on the specific challenges and opportunities for start-ups, healthcare policy and why politics in particular need to encourage investors - especially private investors and crowdfunding activities. Prof. Garzorz-Stark emphasized the importance of not only developing high-tech innovations "Made in Germany", but also commercializing and scaling them in and from Germany.
A highlight of the visit was a tour of the company’s in-house laboratory, where Ms. Aras had the opportunity to test the intuitive and user-friendly LabDisk technology first-hand. She was impressed by its ease of use and Dermagnostix' innovative approach.
Dermagnostix would like to thank Ms. Aras and Ms. Saint-Cast for their visit and for engaging in direct dialogue with political decision-makers. Such exchanges are essential to raise awareness of the challenges faced by smaller medical technology companies and to develope solutions together.
