As one of the most important dermatology events in Germany, the 30th annual meeting of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Dermatologische Histologie (ADH) took place in Lübeck last month - and Dermagnostix was there to present our novel solutions in diagnostics!

It was exciting to hear how topics within dermatology are evolving. Besides new research approaches, such as the use of Facebook patient support groups (FBSGs) to recruit large numbers of patients for research studies (David et al., 2019 / https://www.linkedin.com/in/jerad-m-gardner-b7a42321), new methods, including molecular diagnostics, were controversely discussed.
Our conclusion? There is still much work to be done! While molecular diagnostics is advancing in oncology and was lively discussed e.g. in the context of PRAME and melanoma at the ADH annual meeting, it is still not in the broad focus in the field of inflammatory skin diseases.
